November Hours

Our November schedule starts this week. The Rock Hill Orchard Market will be open with seasonal fruit and vegetables, bread, ice cream, cheese, honey, jams and preserves, beef jerky, and freshly pressed apple cider on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10am - 5pm, and on Sundays from Noon - 5pm. Our last day of the season will by Sunday November 20th.

October 30th - Hay Rides in the Snow

 - There will be free hay rides between noon and 4pm today.  Come out to see the orchard in the snow.  Then come in to the market for a free cup of hot apple cider, freshly pressed at Kime's Cider Mill in Gettysburgh, PA.

October 29, 30, 31 Update

Rock Hill Orchard will be open on October 29, 30, and 31 on the following schedule:
Saturday and Sunday, October 29 and 30:  10am - 5pm
Monday, October 31: 10am - 6pm
 
PYO is closed for the season.
 
November schedule starts next week.  The market will be open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10am - 5pm, and on Sundays from noon until 5pm.  Our last day of the season will be Sunday, November 20th.

Some new veggies in the market

 cheddar and purple cauliflower
We have some beautiful cheddar and purple majestic cauliflower in the market, fresh from the fields of Lancaster County, PA.  There are also persimmons and fresh lima beans.  If you are thinking ahead to Thanksgiving, we have just harvested a large crop of delicious sweet potatoes.  We also have some sugar pumpkins, just right for pumpkin pie! 

October 24th Pick Your Own Update

 - There are still Rome apples available for picking. There is very scattered picking of other varieties for thos willing to put in the effort to find them. The pumpkin field has been picked out. There are still some already picked pumpkins and lots of already picked apples at the market (Rome, Empire, York, Fuji, Nittany, Banana, Ida Red)

October 23rd - Apple Picking Update

There is a good number of Rome apples still available for picking.  There is a small quantity of Golden Delicious, Granny Smith and Pink Lady Apples still available.  Empire, Red Delicious, Stayman, Melrose, Gala Jonathan, Jonagold, Fuji and Sun Crisp Apples have been picked-out.
 
There is a good selection of already picked apples in the market.  Varieties available include Empire, Golden Delicious, Stayman, Fuji, York, Nittany, Rome, and Banana.  Availability of seconds apples is limited.
 
 

Wednesday, October 19th - Rain, Rain, Go Away

PIck Your Own Apples and pumpkins are closed for rain today.  Lots of pumpkins and apples in the market.  The market is open from 9am - 6pm Monday through Saturday and 9am - 5 pm on Sunday.

The Pick Your Own Apple orchard and pumpkin fields are open!  The grass and ground will still be wet, so where appropriate footwear.
